Using IMAP to Access Your AIM Mail Account: General Settings
- Ascertain that your email client supports IMAP.
 - In the IMAP server field, type imap.aol.com.
 - For IMAP, enter your AOL Mail login name.
 - The IMAP password is your AOL password.
 - Check IMAP SSL/TLS required.
 - Enter 993 for IMAP.
 - For Outgoing Mail Server, type smtp.aol.com (SMTP).
 - Enter 465 for SMTP.

POP Access to Your AIM Mail Account: General Settings
POP access allows you to download all mail and store it locally on your computer.
To POP mail from AIM Mail into your email program:
- Enter pop.aol.com for the POP server.
 - Enter your AOL email address as your username.
 - Enter your AOL POP password.
 - Check POP SSL/TLS required.
 - Enter 995 for POP.
 - For Outgoing Mail Server, enter smtp.aol.com (SMTP).
 - Enter 465 for SMTP.
