If you are running long wires, be sure to protect them by hiding them behind walls and other coverings. Also, consider purchasing an outlet tester if you\u2019re working with older wiring. To further protect yourself, make sure all of your connections are made properly and check each wire before using it. This is important because one of the biggest issues with DIY security cameras is improper wiring.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_3_Measure_The_Area\"><\/span>Step 3: Measure The Area:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When installing your <a href=\"https:\/\/netraclos.com\/\">CCTV camera<\/a>, it is important that you use proper placement. Try not to place them where people will be walking or standing. If you do, there is a chance that it could interfere with their movement and cause problems for yourself and others later on. This does not mean you have to place them far away from everything. But if you are installing one at eye level with an area that is going to see some traffic then make sure it is placed so that traffic won\u2019t interfere with it.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_4_Check_The_Boxes\"><\/span>Step 4: Check The Boxes:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>By now, you should have filled out 4 boxes. This is where you make sure all of your word count information matches up. Here\u2019s what you need to do: Check your word count by clicking on View Details under Word Count. You should see that it adds up correctly with both pieces being at least 400 words long. If it doesn\u2019t, go back and edit until it does or add more content to make each part at least 400 words long.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_5_Connect_The_Monitor\"><\/span>Step 5: Connect The Monitor:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Connecting your monitor is easy. Just make sure you have power! Your camera has two cables: one for power, and one for video. Plug each cable into its respective port on your monitor. While it\u2019s possible to mount them without any specialized equipment, it\u2019s best if you can use a drill and level. This will make sure that your camera is pointed straight at what you want it pointed at, which is important for making sure someone can be identified accurately by facial recognition software later on.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_8_Install_A_DVR_Or_NVR\"><\/span>Step 8: Install A DVR Or NVR:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/lite14.net\/blog\/2022\/06\/24\/4-effective-email-marketing-tactics-to-convert-new-business-sales-leads\/\">Digital Video Recorder<\/a> (DVR) is pretty much what it sounds like \u2013 it records video footage.
